Tools and toolsets
The actions your agent is physically able to take.
Where a skill is knowledge, a tool is a capability. Running a command, reading a file, opening a browser, sending a message — each is a tool, and the agent can only use the ones you have switched on. This is the list you first met during setup.
Tools are grouped into toolsets on the Skills page, under the Tools tab. Some need configuration before they work — a browser backend needs a provider, for instance — and say so on the card.
Turning things off is a real control
An agent without the terminal toolset cannot run commands, no matter what it is asked. If you want a research assistant that cannot touch your machine, this is where you enforce it.
