MCP servers

Connect your agent to outside services through a standard protocol.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for an agent to talk to an external service. An MCP server exposes a set of tools — read my Airtable, search my Notion, query this database — and once connected your agent can use them like any other tool.

Installing one

1Open MCP and browse the catalogue.
2Click a server to see what it does, what it connects to, and what it needs.
3Install, then supply whatever it asks for — usually an API key or an OAuth sign-in.
4Enable it. Its tools become available to the agent immediately.

You can also add a server that is not in the catalogue with Add server, by giving it a URL or a command to run.
